A VIEW FROM THE CLYDE

Under a block of modern flats on Clyde Street, facing the very river it depicts, just across from St. Andrew’s Cathedral

WHERE IS IT?

This original and somewhat comedic, surreal take on what lurks beneath the River Clyde was painted by Glasgow-based street artist Rogue One, in association with online gallery Art Pistol.

In an interview with STV News, Rogue One detailed how the collective vision of the project changed from what was initially conceived. “At first we were going to make it realistic about what you find in the river – shopping trolleys, car tyres, dead bodies, bags of cats,” admitted the artist. “But we realised we could be much more fun with it, more entertaining, so we brought elephants and daleks and standing stones into it.”
