This nautical theme extends to the style of the structure, with the crest above the doorway showing a lighthouse with a walrus at either side. Further above are two godly statues; the Roman god Neptune, god of freshwater and the sea, and also the Greek sea-goddess Amphitrite, wife of Poseidon.

Found at 190 West George Street in the city centre, near where that street intersects with Wellington Street

This beautiful B-listed turn of the century red sandstone building was designed by Robert Alexander Bryden and his son Andrew in 1899, completed in 1900. The name derives from the original tenants, the Ocean Accident Insurance Company.
